We are saddened at the loss of our dear friend, but rejoice in his new home with Jesus. Slim was one of those rare and unique individuals who light and lighten life in so many areas. Ever smiling with his engaging and infectious smile and laugh, he reflected the joy of knowing and loving Jesus and others. His character and integrity exemplified the model of “loving your neighbor as yourself”! Willard credits him with valuable experience tutorials in the work place.
Our prayers are with Sue and the family during this difficult transition time of adjusting to life without him.

I was proud to know Slim for the 15 odd years I was at E-Systems, from 81 to 96. i met him when i has barely 20, and he is still remembered fondly for the mentorship he gave me those years. From work help, tp personal guidance, to borrowing his old truck when i needed to move. And best, all the great stories i have now from those days. i will never forget his description on how fast i could be replaced on the flight line. Or how power windows on a Bronco were like wiper blades on a rifle scope?

My deepest sympathy to Sue, Dr. Hendricks, Karl and Ellen, and to the rest of the family. i know he will be greatly missed.

Mike Hendricks was just a great person and a real friend. I knew his as Slim from work at ESystems, Raytheon,.... He was also so supportive and friendly. I also knew of his dedication to Salem Kinser Methodist, which was just exceptional. God Bless his family. Tom Tillotson

My sincere condolences to the Hendricks family, Mike was a wonderful man, that I was able to call my cousin. There was never a time that I saw him that he did not shake my hand and give me a hug. There should be more like him in the world, but he was one of a kind. My love and prayers are to you all. RIP Mike, and until we see each other again!

You all have my arms around you. Know what you are going through. He and Mother, Aunt Laura and all the rest will be waiting for us some day. He was more like a brother to me than a cousin. He sent me a text on Thurs. Said he had no news was just thinking about me. So he was checking on me. Take care of Susie, as I know you girls will do that.
Love you guys, prayers for all.

Slim, there were many days we weaved our way through those dark and bumpy skies flying you and me. You always had that knack, poking fun and being mischievous one minute and all serious the next. Slim you certainly are remembered, now you will be missed, and if there is such a thing as a fliers brotherhood in Heaven, save me a seat my brother as I would like one more flight with you....

You always felt like a grandfather to me. You were there when I needed you, to pick on me and make me laugh, and, to anyone who will understand this, honk that truck horn at me. I will miss you more thank words will ever say. But I know you are in good company where you are now.

I love you then, now, and always.
