When thinking of one word to describe Coach Adams..... well thatís extremely hard. He was AMAZING, humorous, friendly, crazy, loving & the list goes on. Iím so fortunate to have the priveledge to have known him. He really did teach us a lot about life. He had one of the best JFK videos I wished we could find.... we would watch it on repeat lol! I wished my own children would have had the privilege to have such amazing person as he was!!!!!! Until we see you again......

So sorry to hear of Coach Adamsí passing. I think I speak for a countless number of GHS grads when I say that he made economics and driverís ed unforgettable, and left us with stories and quotable moments that still produce smiles and laughter decades later. He was one of a kind. Condolences to Mitch and the rest of the family.

As a new teacher at GHS in 1985 fresh out of Texas A&M, I remember Charles welcoming me. He never brought up too many times of the Aggie-Longhorn friendly rivalry. He made me feel welcomed! Polly, I pray for your strength in sadness. Only time can make the missing's ok for missing someone to not fade.

So very sorry to hear of Coach's passing. To those of us fortunate enough to have learned our Texas History (or driving) from him, he was among the most legendary of characters, one never to be forgotten. Truly an original. My thoughts are with Mitch and the rest of his family.

I loved seeing/visiting with Coach Adams just two weeks ago at church in Greenville and am sad to hear of his sudden passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family - he will be missed. He was always joyful, positive and personable, and that's what made him a great person/coach/teacher in the most authentic way!

Coach was my high school economics teacher in the early 90's. I remember my initial concern/intimidation about him, but he quickly became one of my favorites, if not the favorite. He opened our eyes to the world of economics and finance (something that should be taught at all grade levels). He had a great knowledge of history, and we were all amazed and entertained by his stories. I hope he knew how much he was treasured, and I know his reward is in heaven. Thank God for His blessings; well done Charles Adams!
