I am so sorry to learn of Jay Tom's passing. My sympathy goes out to Mary Lou, his extended family, and all his friends. His warm smile and sense of humor will be missed. He was an influential role model as I began my career. He touched many lives, and we were better for knowing him.

Mary Lou,
I wanted to express my sympathies on the passing of Jay Tom. He was a wonderful principal and a very kind man. He was a great promoted for our school. I always enjoyed working with both him and you as a parent, teacher, and volunteer.

Jay Tom was a great educator, and person. He touched many lives with his humor and thoughtfulness. Everyone who came in contact with Jay Tom came away a better person. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I knew Jay Tom when growing up in Commerce as the Balfour Man. He helped with our yearbook, and sold us our senior rings, and invitations. Imagine how surprised I was in the '70s to find he was my principal at Springridge Elementary in Richardson. He was a great person to work for and was just as much fun to be with. I'm glad to see he enjoyed a long full life.

I loved that wonderful, kind manner of this sweet man--always a smile and loving manner. Heaven has gained a saint.
