Hattie Lorraine Dearing

Hattie Lorraine Dearing, 90, of Commerce passed away March 9, 2010 at Hunt Regional Medical Center. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the First United Methodist Church in Commerce with Rev. Lisa Greenwood officiating. Interment will follow at Rosemound Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday at First United Methodist Church in Commerce.
Mrs. Dearing was born September 23, 1919 to Curtis Leroy Jones and Lucy Alice Farrow Jones. On Octoer 29, 1939 she married Cecil Ray Patton in Commerce. He preceded her in death in 1983. In 1986, she married James Weldon Dearing in Commerce, and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Dearing graduated from Commerce High School and attended East Texas State University. She was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Commerce, TAMUC Alumni Assocition, and Afflatus Club.
Her survivors include her son Jim Patton and wife, Susan of Commerce; daughter Patricia Mulkey and husband, Clark of Plano; sister Neyl (Jones) Spitler; grandchildren Jonathan Mulkey of Plano, Ray Patton of Commerce, and Marie Karnes of Commerce; great-grandchildren Sherri Lea Karnes and Shawn Karnes of Commerce; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson Curtis Mulkey; brothers Dial Jones, Floyd Jones and sister Frances Sparkman.
