Willie Marie McQueary, 81, of Red Oak (formerly of Greenville) passed away March 7, 2010 at Baylor Hospital of Waxahachie. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Stoney Point Cemetery in Collin County. Visitation will be from Noon until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Marie was born February 2, 1929 in Commerce to William Douglas and Mary Johnson Rose. On July 19, 1947, she married John T. McQueary in Greenville. She was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Oaks Baptist Church in Red Oak.
Her survivors include her son Johnny Michael McQueary of Athens; daughter Donna Ray and husband Richard of Red Oak; brother Jimmie Rose and wife Pat of Longview; sister Carolyn Stowell and husband Bob of California; grandchildren Andrea Ray, Cathy Ray, Travis McQueary, Angie Gipson, Phil Darwin, Terri Daniel, and Ricky Ray; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband on September 3, 2008; and one brother Paul Rose.
