Quebelle Abbott Morris, 103, of Greenville passed away on March 2, 2010 at Greencrest Manor. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tommy Hall, Bro. Benny Chaffin, Dr. James Ralson, and Bro. Larry Combs officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Morris was born September 17, 1906 in Josephine to J. D. and Adna Coleman Abbott. In November, 1932 she married W. J. (Dub) Morris who preceded her in death on April 23, 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Her survivors include her son Frankie Morris and wife, Jo Ann of Campbell; grandchildren Rick Morris and wife Brenda of Campbell, Lynn Morris and wife Gail of Clayton, North Carolina and Doug Morris and wife Jo Ann of Campbell; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Pallbearers will be Jack Abbott, Don Ethridge, Tom Green, Kevin Morris, Ben Scott and Marion Spurlock.
