Armond Franklin Grizzell

 Armond Franklin Grizzell, 74, of Greenville, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, died Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at his residence.  Funeral services will be 1:30 PM, Friday at Cross Trails Cowboy Church in Fairlie under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeff Bishop and Rev. Danny Fairweather officiating.  Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.  Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at the funeral home.
 
Mr. Grizzell was born November 21, 1935, in Manchester, Red River County, Texas, to Daniel and Annie Lee Grizzell.  He served his country in the Army spending his overseas duty in Korea.
 
His entire working career was spent in the construction field.  He helped in the construction of Power Plants and Oil Refineries.  He retired from Alstom Power as a Technical Advisor, traveling a five state area after more than thirty years of service.
 
He is survied by his wife, Faye Tuggle Grizzell of Greenville, whom he married December 7, 1970; daughter, Karen Willingham and husband Ray of Big Sandy; son Kevin Grizzell of Alabama; step-daughter, Andrea Purvis and husband Michael of Wolfe City; grandchildren Lauren Clark Covington and husband Charlie, Lindsey Clark, Luke Clark, Paul Pierce, Armond Willingham, Ryan McGruder, Michael McGruder and Audra Grizzell; brother, Joe Grizzell and wife Sarah of Manchester; sisters Dorothy Millsap of Manchester, Beulah Doyle of Detroit, Texas, Polly Stanton of Mt. Ida, Arkansas and Chris Lee and husband, Steve of Rapid City, South Dakota; and half-sister Diletha Stephenson of Houston.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carol McGruder; brother Don Grizzell and several half-brothers and sisters.
 
Pallbearers will be Johnny Condor, Richard Miller, Steve Davis, Reggie Grizzell, Cody Grizzell and Kyle Jones.  Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Bates, Dr. Joseph Perks and Dr. Thomas Kraven.
