Ramona Faye Wacasey

Ramona Faye Wacasey, 82, of Greenville, died Thursday, January 28, 2010, at her residence. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Sunday at Memoryland Memorial Park under the direction of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating, with her great-nephew Chad Wacasey and great-great-niece, Courtney Wacasey assisting. Soloist will be Kyle Wacasey and Kathy Harris.
Miss Wacasey was born in the Peniel community on March 27, 1927, the daughter of Homer B. Wacasey, Sr. and Lavina Spoonemore Wacasey. She was a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church and was employed at J. C. Penney for 50 years as a bookkeeper. She loved to travel, having the opportunity to travel all over the world.
She supported the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Parkinson’s Association, and SPCA. She was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, never missing a game.
Miss Wacasey is survived by her nephew, Mike Wacasey of Greenville; great-niece, Jodie Wacasey of Greenville, great-nephew, Chad Wacasey of Caddo Mills, her dog, Mercy, and life time friends, Jeri and George Howard of Conroe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Homer B. Wacasey, Jr.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Harris, Micah Harris, Matt McMahan, Josh Warren, John Nowell and Justin Poppelreiter.
Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home.
