We sadly announce that Cathey Jo Hawkins passed away on Nov. 3, 2022. She was 49.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville, TX. Burial will follow the service at Memoryland Memorial Park. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cathey was born in 1972 and grew
up in Dallas, TX. In 1994, she moved to a group home in Greenville, where she
lived for the rest of her life. She attended Highland Terrace church and
participated in many community events, including the Special Olympics.
A quiet and gentle soul, Cathey loved animals, Crayola Crayons, and Dr Pepper. She was a loving sister, daughter, aunt, niece, and friend to many.
Cathey leaves behind her Twin sister, Christy Hawkins; Mother, Minnie Hawkins; Brother, Tyson Hawkins and his wife Melissa; Uncle, Timothy Hawkins and his wife Pam; Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law, Matt and Cerrie Bradshaw, and their children, Will and Kailey; and many cousins and friends.
Cathey was preceded in death by
her father, David Hawkins.
